A cross between a Football Bar and a Swiss Bar, the ATX American Press Bar is perhaps more multi-functional than the two. Most commonly used to reduce stress or impingement in shoulder complex during pressing movements, it can also be used for Bent-Over Rows and various arm exercises, including diamond-grip/ narrow-grip bench press.
Since ATX released the bar, it is now more commonly known as the American Press Bar.

The heavy-gauge steel construction is fully-welded and the sleeves are double reinforced; therefore, the bar is capable of a load capacity of 250kg. The multiple angles of grip are perfect for Bench Press, Military Press, Close-Grip Bench Press, Hammer Curls, Triceps Extensions, and more.
Features of the ATX American Press Bar:
- The grip widths are 14cm, 32cm , 50cm, and 68cm.
- 30mm thick handles with knurling for improved grip.
- Solid steel tube construction, fully welded with double reinforced ends.
- Capable of heavy loads up to 250kg.
- The weight posts have a diameter of approximately 50mm and are 35 cm in length.
- The shaft size is 130cm and comfortably fits olympic-width benches and racks measuring to 124cm in width.
- Finished with a matt black powder coating.
- Dimensions (LxWxH): 204 x 20 x 10cm.
- Weight approx. 17.5 kg.
